Parquet Sanding

Sanding and grinding a wood floor (floorboards) is a service that transforms the non-treated material into a nicely finished and smooth surface that is ready for varnishing, oiling, or other coat treatments, which provide long-lasting protection for your floor.

We provide two different ways for Parquet Sanding:

Standard Sanding and grinding

Standard sanding and grinding, which are done with the help of a drum machine. In the process, three different sizes of sandpaper are used for untreated or varnished, but worn parquet. In the case of painted, oiled, or floor covered with bezier, five different sizes of sandpaper are used. Our prices for the Parquet Sanding can be checked here.

  • Sandpaper with a grid №36 is used for removing old stains and scratches into the wood as well as for smoothing the overall surface and the gaps between the different wood pieces.
  • Sandpaper with a grid №60 is used for smoothening the previously created scratches by the bigger grid as well as for further clean of the surface.
  • Sandpaper with a grid №120 is used for the final sanding by which the floor is ready for varnishing or oiling.
  • In the case of painted, oiled, or floor covered with bezier, two more sandpapers with №16 and №24 grids are used prior to the process above. After that, the same method as for the non-treated parquet is applied.

The pictures below show the result when a floor is sanded а drum machine and then varnished..

Luxury sanding and grinding

The process begins with a drum machine, that works with sandpaper with grids of №36 and №60. After that, the so-called Trio machine (orbital) helps the surface to become to its final state. Grids with №36, №60, and №120 are attached to the machine’s three smaller disks. The process ensures that the final state of the surface is without any gaps, holes, scratches, or imperfections.
