About 60% of the wooden flooring in Europe is made of oak three, which indicates that the material is one of the best options for interior flooring. You can decide between oak hardwood parquet or oak floorboards with different qualities, sizes, and treatment. The oak material has a nice flader appearance, is also extremely hard, and wear-and-tear-resistant.
The best quality of the oak wood as flooring is its thickness – 20mm. This characteristic allows you to sand the surface up to ten times. It is recommended to re-sand your wood floor every ten years, so you will enjoy a nice flooring for a very long time.
The quality level and the size of the material which you can choose between depends on your home architecture, the furniture in it, and also your preferences of color and manufacturing technique that you like.
The width can be: 200mm; 180mm; 170mm; 150mm; 140mm; 120mm; 90mm.
Three levels of quality – Rustic, Natural, Select. Those three do not differ in quality but only in appearance. Wear and tear resistance does not depend on the quality of the material. All types of products last the same time when used properly. homo
Products from the line “Select” have a homogeneous color. They do not have sapwood or any knots. In rare cases, knots appear but with a size of 15mm in diameter on every few boards.
Products from the line “Rustic” have sapwood up to 10%, and any knots on the material are sanded and filled up.
Any wood floor that is going to be installed indoors, needs to be protected against any water damage in the future. They are two different methods that can be done to protect the material with a resistant layer. Both techniques have their pros and cons but the same effect on the wood. One is varnishing, the other is oiling the wood material.
The clients can decide between a wood floor with a protective layer that comes from the factory or without it. In the case of bare wood without a protective layer, sanding, grouting the joints, grinding as well as varnishing or oiling is mandatory for the material after installation.
Wood floors with a factory protective layer have a few benefits. The protective coat is sprayed inside a painting chamber, which ensures wear resistance and complete durability. Also, during the manufacturing process, unique colors can be achieved but not if the flooring is installed and treated afterward. The process of installation of a product that is factory treated is faster and dust-free.
